Preliminary information only

Results depend on the selections and estimates you provide, simplified load assumptions, and manufacturer information available when our sources were last checked. A “preliminarily ready” or “conditionally compatible” result does not establish that a system is safe, permitted, available, warrantied, or suitable for your home.

Professional verification is required

Before purchasing, installing, connecting, or operating a vehicle-to-home system, obtain an on-site assessment from appropriately licensed professionals. Confirm the exact vehicle model and year, software eligibility, charger and gateway revisions, panel and transfer equipment, grounding and isolation method, available fault current, motor-start requirements, utility interconnection rules, permits, inspections, warranty terms, and local code requirements.

No DIY electrical instructions

Do not use this site as instructions to open a panel, alter wiring, defeat an interlock, backfeed a circuit, connect a vehicle to a building, or bypass manufacturer, utility, inspection, or safety requirements. Improper connections can cause fire, electric shock, equipment damage, injury, or death, and may endanger utility workers.

Not for critical or life-safety loads

Do not rely on a runtime estimate for medical equipment, life-support systems, fire protection, emergency communications, refrigeration of critical medicine, or any situation where loss of power could cause harm. Use a professionally designed and maintained backup plan with appropriate redundancy and monitoring.

Availability and changes

Vehicle features, software access, equipment availability, output limits, incentives, utility programs, and installation requirements may change without notice. Always confirm current information with the manufacturer, installer, utility, permitting authority, and other relevant professionals.
